The gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.

A thin application should be applied to the affected area twice daily or as directed by a physician.

Each gram of Obagi Nu-Derm Blender conatins Hydroquinone USP 40 mg/gm in a base of purified water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, PPG-2 myristyl ether propionate, sodium lauryl sulfate, TEA-salicylate, lactic acid, phenyl trimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, sodiummetabisulfite, ascorbic acid, methylparaben, saponins, disodium EDTA, BHT and propylparaben.

I have been using this and the rest of the Obagi starter line for about 5 months now-since recommended by the skin care professional that I see regularly. It has impoved my skin`s texture and coloring and I think that it is continuing to improve so I continue to use it twice daily (1 regimen for a.m. and 1 for p.m.) My only complaint is the it is quite expensive, but if it works than its worth it. Don`t expect to see actual results with this line for at least 4 to 5 months. Also, there is a lengthy peeling stage that you must endure in the beginning.
Pros: Actually does work if used with the rest of the obagi line.
Cons: Expensive.

After years of having problems with my skin and not being able to find any product that worked it was recommend that I try the Obagi 5 step program this has been the only product that has worked,it not only clears any skin breakouts, but it leaves your skin looking flawless.
Pros: Eliminates skin breakouts, fades brown spots,leaves your skin looking flawless.
Cons: Two weeks needed get use to the product. Skin sensitivity to the sun.

The product works to lighten dark spots when used with Retin-A Micro. The smell is harsh, which is why I give it 4 stars.

When used as directed this product works wonderfully. You will get the best results when used with the whole Obaji system. I don`t find it necessary to use the cleanser or toner, but steps 3-5 I use the System and have had great results.
Pros: It works-for real! Smooth, spot free skin.
Cons: Nothing.
